A week after sweeping the 100-200 sprints at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays at El Camino College in Torrance, San Diego Madison senior Kenan Christon did himself one better.

At Friday night's Escondido Invitational, Christon won the 100m in 10.42 and the 200 in 20.67. That 100 time ranks No. 2 in CA among wind-legal times. That 200 lowers his San Diego Section record and slots in at No. 1 in CA, No. 2 in the U.S., and No. 8 in CA ALL-TIME!!!!

This week's deep-dive rankings article, inspired by Christon's 100-200 combo from Friday night, focuses on CA's top combo sprinters and ranks them over two historical time periods.

As part of an overall combination sprinters rankings article that looks at boys and girls for both 100-200 and 200-400, we look at where Christon's sprint PR total -- achieved in a single night -- ranks over the past four years and over the past decade.

In most cases, we ran the program looking for the top 500 based on the first data point (100m for 100-200 rankings, 200m for 200-400 rankings), weeded out anyone without times for both distances, and ranked them based on combined time totals. Because the program we use does not automatically adding ranking numbers, we have inserted numbers to help guide you through the lists.
