The fastest hurdler in this field is Edison senior Cyvanna Bowen. She rolled to CA No. 3 time of 13.91 at the Delta College Mustang HS Invitational. Her closest pursuers will be Stagg sophomore Tierra Davis who currently owns CA No. 6 14.26 and St. Francis, Sacramento sophomore Reyna Johnson (14.55). Another sophomore, Whitney's Sydney Johnson has run 14.64 and will be looking to break into the top three here.
Two years ago, I predicted a meet record in the girls' hurdle race and this year, we may have another meet record here for the boys. St. Mary's, Stockton Jamar Marshall is the fastest hurdler in California with his 13.61 winning effort at the Stanford Invitational. He has been exceptional all season and the only question here is his winning time. Merrill West senior Warren Williams won last year's SAC MOC with a time of 14.12 and has a best of 14.01. He is currently ranked second in California and will get a closeup view of the top hurdler here.
