A Who's Who of Stars Looking to Shine at Arcadia

While the team from defending CIF-State champion Great Oak finds itself in the seeded 4x100 relay, the Invitational division includes current state leader Long Beach Poly, fresh of a blistering 40.91 at the Texas relays, No. 2 Rancho Cucamonga (41.57), No. 3 Monterey Trail (41.68 last week at Stanford) and No. 4 Clovis North (41.83). The field also includes No. 6 Upland (42.16).

The top three teams in CA are scheduled in the girls 4x100 relay, led by state leader Calabasas, which ran 46.28 last weekend in Austin. State No. 3 Long Beach Poly also put up a fast time in Texas, running 47.02. No. 2 Scripps Ranch (46.95) also gets to turn heads in the elite race. Leuzinger, which ran a state No. 5 time of 47.63 last week at Trabuco Hills, is in the seeded race. 

Four of the state's top five girls 4x400 relay teams are slated to take the track. Roosevelt's 3:48.12 from the Chandler Rotary leads the state. Long Beach Wilson (3:51.35), Dana Hills (3:51.35) and Long Beach Poly (3:51.71) rank 3-5. Clovis North (3:52.39) ranks CA No. 6 and heads the field in the seeded race.

The state's top four boys 4x400 relay teams are scheduled in the invitational race: Long Beach Poly (3:16.62), Clovis North (3:18.29), Long Beach Wilson (3:18.66) and Harvard Westlake (3:19.10).
