BOYS RUNNER OF THE YEAR
The section boys' runner of the year was an easy selection as Redwood senior Liam Anderson rolled to an undefeated season that culminated with a hard-earned victory at the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN). Anderson under the excellent guidance of his two coaches, Laura and Jake Schmitt, delayed the start of his season until the Clovis Invitational. He rolled to a then PR 14:57.8 winning effort there and improved his Woodward Park time at the state meet with his second state title in 14:55.3. Following this spring Track and Field season, Anderson will take his talents to Palo Alto and Stanford University.
