FIRST TEAM

ADIN DIBBLE (Sonora High/SJ) -- No. 6 overall in the class at State (16:39) and the No. 2 freshman behind All-CA Freshman selection Bryce Gilmore in the Division IV final. Ran 4K PR (13:09.13) for sixth overall in the varsity boys race at Kim Duyst, and 3-mile PR of 15:53.90 as the top freshman in the Varsity Gold A race at Woodbridge. Top 2022 in Division IV at SJS final (16:58.30) and No. 3 overall in the class.

BRYCE GILMORE (Sage Creek/SD) -- No. 3 among all freshman at State (16:19.40), posted the No. 6 3-mile time in the class (15:33.00) and the No. 8 5K time with his clocking at State. One of only two runners in the class statewide to post a top-10 finish among 2022 runners at State and also rank top-10 in both primary distances rankings among CA frosh. Placed fourth in the Freshman race at Foot Locker West Regionals (17:03.2). Also posted the No. 2-ranked time in the class in the 2-mile (9:48.26) as the top freshman and 18th overall at the HOKA ONE Postal Nationals.

MICHAEL JULIAN (York School/CC) -- No. 4 among freshman at in the merge at the State Finals, placing 11th overall in the Division V race (16:21.40), 0.20 seconds ahead of another All-CA Freshman Alex Mader. They were the only two freshman among the top 45 finishers in the D-V race at State. Julian ran the No. 6 time in the class for 5K (16:13.00, for third in the varsity race at the PCAL finals). 

ALEX MADER (Lick Wilmerding/NC) -- No. 5 among freshman in the merge at the State Finals, placing 12th overall in the D-V race (16:21.60), just 0.20 seconds behind another All-CA Freshman, Michael Julian. Mader's time at State also landed him ninth in the class in the statewide 5K rankings. Placed second in the BCL varsity finals. 

COLIN SAHLMAN (Newbury Park/SS) -- The top runner in the class. First in the class at State (15:52.86), also No. 1 among 2022 boys in the distance rankings for 5K (his State time), and 3-miles (15:06.90 at Woodbridge). Placed 38th overall in the Division II race at State and was the No. 5 scorer as Newbury Park claimed its first team title. No. 6 runners on the CIF-SS Division II team champion. Was the No. 5 scorer at Nike Cross Nationals (16:22.00) as Newbury Park placed sixth overall and second behind Great Oak among CA teams. The No. 2 freshman in the race.

KELLEN STEPLIGHT (Vacaville High School/SJ) -- No. 2 in the class at State (16:13.90) and No. 4 in the class in the 5K rankings (16:06.30 from the Clovis Invitational). Ran 2-mile PR of 10:42.30 for seventh in the varsity race at Ed Silas and his 3-mile PR of 15:58.00 for sixth in the Division 1 Varsity race at Mt. SAC. 5K PR of 6:06.30 for 17th as the top freshman in the Large School Division race at Clovis. 

JOSEPH WILEY (McClatchy/SJ) -- Ninth overall among freshman boys at in the merge from the State Meet (16:46.60). ... Placed 12th overall at the SJS finals (16:40.40) as the top freshman in the Division I race won by eventual State Meet champion Matt Strangio and as the top scorer for McClatchy. ... Ran 3-mile PR of 16:23.60 for fourth at the Sac-Joaquin Sub-Sectionals.
