Teams to Watch (Full Rankings)

The Lowell boys have won 12 section titles in a row with the last San Francisco school to defeat them being the 2005 Lincoln Mustangs. They have finished either first or second in the San Francisco section since 1977. Last season, the Lowell boys dominated the section final with a perfect score of 15 points. They finished in 18th place at the uber-competitive Division I race and will return the majority of their team from last year. During the spring Track and Field season, Lowell had a school record 18 boys dip under the 5-minute mark and 12 of those boys will compete during the upcoming Cross Country season. They will be the favorites to score another section title and the real race will be for second place. The two teams that will battle it out behind the Lowell juggernaut will be Lincoln and Galileo
