BOYS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
Malcolm Clemons (St. Mary's Berkeley) --The selection of the section athlete of the year was not an easy one considering that two other boys also won state championships. While both Max Glasser and Liam Anderson were impressive, Malcolm Clemons really wowed the state meet crowd with a strong sequence of jumps. His best jump of 25'1" was wind-legal and the 2nd best jump in the nation. It's also the 4th best long jump in section history. Oh, I should also mention that Clemons was only a sophomore and he has two more years to improve his marks this past season. Watch out!
