Lowell continues its dominance of San Francisco Section Final



San Francisco Section Boys Recap

With Alexander Parker (above) leading a 1-5 finish, the boys team at Lowell won the San Francisco Section team title for the 12th consecutive time and 28th time in the past 31 years since 1987, according to the section website

Parker's section-winning time of 16:33.60 over Golden Gate Park's 5K course, was one of six sub-17 postings at the meet, the top five from Lowell runners. 

Junior Noah Battaglia was second (16:37.30), followed by senior Maximilian Tiao (16:38.80), junior Beck Johnstone (16:43.80) and junior James Holcombe (16:44.70).

Lincoln senior Christian Chun placed sixth overall (16:49.20) and Mission senior Mateo Friedenbach Condon (17:16.30) was eighth as the section's only individual qualifiers for the Nov. 25 CIF State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. 

Lowell junior Ian Lawrence was a non-scoring seventh overall (17:11.00).

Lowell's boys have won 39 titles, 38 outright, since 1944.
