Fans of high school track are used to seeing big March performances from California athletes. Normally, it's the established stars that jumps straight to the top of the national rankings, helping set the standard for others across the country that have later start times for their spring season. The early 2017 returns have been a little different, though, because most of the truly eye-opening marks have been posted by athletes who aren't (yet) big names in our state, let alone nationally. Let us formally introduce you to some of these "newcomers" that are drawing big attention so far this season!
