Last year, the Winter Championships were born when it was announced that the indoor track in Sacramento was being moved to use as a practice track for 2016 Indoor Worlds. At the time, the outdoor meet at Cerritos College was billed as a one-time replacement for the Run For the Dream. Now, however, it seems increasingly clear that the unofficial California indoor state meet will not be returning, and the Winter Championships may take on increasing importance as a result.
The second edition of the meet will be at Arcadia this Saturday, and MileSplitCA will be on-site for photos of both the running and field events! In preparation, we've taken a look at the top contenders in every event, and you can see them by scrolling through the upcoming slides.
