Great Oak Picks Up Transfer Skyler Bollinger

The 2014 Nike Cross Nationals runners-up in Great Oak High School look even more dangerous this fall, per a star transfer in Skyler Bollinger. The rising senior is an all-state runner from Illinois, who ran personal records of 16:52 for three miles, 10:36 for 3200m and 4:56.09 for 1600m as a student at Yorkville High School.

Bollinger placed fifth at the Illinois XC State Championship (17:27 for three miles) to help Yorkville win their fourth consecutive Class 2A State XC team title, plus 69th (48th in team scoring) at Nike Cross Regionals - Midwest last fall. Her family moved from Yorkville, Ill. to Temecula, Calif. at the beginning of July as her dad's job relocated to the San Diego area.
