How was the transition from middle school to high school?

The transition was pretty smooth because I had started training harder and meeting the team during the summer after 8th grade.

What is your favorite type of workout?

I love track workouts, because I love running short and fast.

What were your goals for the AZ State Meet and what was the experience like?

My goal for state was to go out a little more aggressively, but to have a great last mile and place well.  The experience was amazing because of all of the incredible cheering and just being with my whole team.

I will be running at Nike SW Regionals and I am really excited for the competition and to hopefully qualify for NXN as a team!

My cross training is actually jumping on the trampoline. It feels really good on your legs and its fun!

I do not follow a specific nutrition program, but I have an incredible mom who cooks homemade meals every day. She makes sure I eat well by eating mostly organic foods.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite memory was state because our entire cross country team came out and cheered us on and they were so amazing!

I love the feeling when I run, and it is a gift from God that I never want to waste.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

I love to play the piano along with the cello. I also love being outside and playing with my dog.

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

All of my coaches have influenced me so much. They are always believing in me and encouraging me during every workout and race. Coach Messer is so passionate and attentive to every detail.

Shout outs?

To my DV teammates. They are so sweet and fun, and they have made me feel so welcome. And to my amazing family for all of their support in my running, especially my dad, who has inspired me to keep running.
