Tech Track Shining at Nationals SACRAMENTO -- Louisiana Tech's track and field squad started the 2007 national meet Wednesday with a couple of high national finishes beginning with sophomore Michael Coleman finished tenth nationally in the men's 100-meter dash and senior Latonia Wilson finishing with the fifteenth best time in the women's 100. "I'm so proud of these kids," Tech head coach Gary Stanley said. "They put forth a great effort and did a tremendous job. When you see the class of student-athletes at this event, you're really appreciate what your athletes have accomplished." Coleman's time of 10.26 seconds is a personal best, while Wilson ran 11.51. Both will run in the 200-meter dash for nationals. Senior Nina Gilbert qualified for the finals in the women's 400 after running a time of 53.18, which was barely off her personal best. Senior Shaterika Allen along with the women's 4x400 relay squad will also return to action beginning Thursday.
