Last year's Seeded race (boys) featured several of the top runners in the US including Blake Haney, Joe Hardy, Steven Fahy, Estevan De La Rosa, and Blair Hurlock as well as the defending NXN team champions, Arcadia HS. The girls' Seeded race featured Davis HS runner, Fiona O'Keeffe, who eventually led her team to a 2nd place finish in the California state meet Division I race with her individual victory. The rest of the meet also featured eventual state team champions Yreka HS (Division IV boys), San Lorenzo Valley (Division IV girls), Campolindo (Division III girls), St. Joseph Notre Dame (Division V boys) and Branson School (Division V girls).
