Highlights

  • Team Sweepstakes #73 - Arcadia boys pulled out the win with 75 points and a 15:23 average despite Estevan De La Rosa struggling and finishing 29th overall.  Blair Hurlock (De La Salle) won overall with a time of 14:48 while Phillip Rocha (Arcadia) was 2nd in 14:51.
  • Individual Sweepstakes #72 - Tal Braude (Torrey Pines) begins to put his stamp on the year with a huge win in a #4 all time 14:27!! Garrett Corcoran (Villa Park) was 2nd in 14:29 and Levi Thomet (Kodiak AK) was 3rd in 14:46.  Blake Haney (Stockdale) faded to 6th in a time of 15:01.  
  • Team Sweepstakes #71 - Sarah Baxter (Simi Valley) rolled to a dominant win with a time of 16:11, the Senior record and #2 all time after her 16:00 last year!  She went out in 4:58 at the mile and might have felt that a bit at the end.  Simi Valley girls won a very close race over Great Oak 72 to 73.
  • Individual Sweepstakes #70 - Fiona O'Keeffe (Davis) won the girls race with a quick 16:54 over Marissa Williams (Palisades Charter) who finished 2nd in 17:14.
  • Sweepstakes #47 - Austin Tamagno, a Brea Olinda soph, rolled to a new soph course record clocking of 14:34! David Luna (Indio) was 2nd in 14:45 and Sydney Gidabuday (El Modena) was 3rd in 14:54.
  • Sweepstakes #46 - Bethan Knights (Northwood) obliterated the field, winning in 16:59, winning by 75 seconds.
  • Sweepstakes #42 - Anna Maxwell (San Lorenzo Valley) won the girls race with a quick 16:56 clocking, winning by well over 40 seconds.

 

Colorado State XC Championships, CO

Highlights

  • Boys 5A - Cerake Geberkidane (Denver East) didn't disappoint as he was absolutely dominate in winning the boys race in 15:48.2 by 41 seconds!  
  • Girls 5A - Frosh Lauren Gregory (Fort Collins) was also a clear winner, taking her first state title with a time of 18:36.9.  Monarch won the team crown over Fort Collins by a score of 49 to 85 for the big win!  Cherry Creek was 3rd with 112 points but Jordyn Colter was last on her team today.
  • Girls 4A - Elise Cranny (Niwot) was just stunning, winning in a super fast 18:07.8!  Katie Rainsberger (Air Academy) was 2nd in 18:47.4.

IHSAA Semi-State 2 Championships, IN

Coverage

Highlights

  • Carmel girls win a close one over Hamilton Southeastern with scores of 52 to 61.  Kelcy Welch secured the individual title for Carmel with a winning time of 17:35.7.  Mary Abramson (Avon) was 2nd in 17:44.9.  
  • Carmel boys also won over Lawrence North by a score of 57 to 79.  David Dalton (Greenwood) won individually with a time of 15:33.5.

 

Michigan Regional Championships, MI

Coverage

Highlights

  • Regional 02
    • Grant Fisher (Grand Blanc) got through to state by winning his regional with ease in 15:54.29.
  • Regional 05
    • The Saline girls dominated this one with 18 points and a 60 second spread as they swept the top-4 places and put 6 inside the top-10.  Elianna Shwayder led the way with a winning time of 18:20.8.  
  • Regional 06
    • Northville girls swept the first 4 spots and put 5 in the top-7 to win easily with 17 points and a 47 second spread.  Taleen Shahrigian won the individual title with a time of 18:19.5.  
  • Regional 04
    • Brian Kettle led Milford to a winning team score of 68 with his individual win in 15:20.6.
    • Rachel Barrett (Milford) won the girls race in 18:10.4.  

 

Bergen County Group Championships, NJ

Coverage

Highlights

  • Josette Norris (Tenafly) won with a course record clocking of 17:36.  
  • Don Bosco Prep boys dominated without Kyle Levermore, scoring 21 points for the win.  Bobby Gonzalez led a 1-2-3 sweep for the individuals with a time of 15:44.

 

6A Regional - Olathe Northwest, KS

Coverage

Highlights

  • Stuart Mcnutt (Blue Valley West) won the boys race in a big way with a swift 14:58.39 clocking.  Second place went to Sam Guinn (Blue Valley Northwest) with a time of 15:21.10.

 

NCISAA State Championships, NC

Highlights

  • Ben Huffman (Providence Day) won the 3A state title on the boys side with a quick 15:24.39 over teammate Nick Linder in 15:34.92.  Providence Day ran away with the team crown with a score of 44 points.  
  • Eliza Decker (Durham Academy) won the girls 3A crown with a fast 18:05.61 clocking but Providence Day took team honors with 82 points.  

 

Utah State XC Championships, UT

Highlights

  • 5A Girls - Davis (UT) girls won the 5A title in record fashion with a cumulative time of 92:27.8, affirming their Saucony Elite 50 #1 team ranking!  They scored 27 points while American Fork finished 2nd with 90 points.  Lucy Biles (Herriman) won the individual crown with a time of 17:41.9.
  • 4A Girls - Sarah Feeny (Ogden) won the 4A individual title with a course record time of 17:25.  Ogden won with 98 points over Timpanogos with 103 points.
  • 4A Boys - Conner Mantz (Sky View) won the individual boys title with a time of 15:11.5, well clear of 2nd place.  Orem boys won over Timpanogos 71 to 105.
  • 5A Boys - The Cavemen of American Fork, ranked Saucony Elite 50 #2, won their 5th straight 5A title on the boys side with 44 points as Connor McMillan leading the way with the individual win with a time of 15:04.1.  Lone Peak finished 2nd with 82 points as Davis wound up 3rd with 107 points.  

 

Missouri District 2 Championships, MO

Coverage

Highlights

  • Hannah Long (Eureka) dominated with a winning time of 18:07, winning by nearly a minute.  Eureka won a close team race over Lafayette by a score of 42 to 43.  
  • Noah Kauppila (Marquette) won the boys race in 15:42 by 38 seconds.  Lafayette did manage to get the boys title with 36 points.  

 

Colonial Conference All-Star Meet, NJ

Highlights

  • Briana Gess (Haddonfield) won the girls race with a blazing 16:57 for a school and park record! 

 

Shore Conference Championships, NJ

Highlights

  • Saucony Elite 50 #1 Christian Brothers Academy rolled to the win with a score of 24 points, winning by close to 100 points with a mind-boggling 15:03 average and a 42 second split!!  Mike McClemens led the charge with the individual win in a time of 14:42.34, which set the individual course record as well.

 

District 1 Championships, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • West Chester Henderson boys rolled on to state with a dominating 58 points scored and a 56 second split for a 15:34 average! Tony Russell led the squad with his 2nd straight individual title with a time of 14:59.  
  • Unionville girls had a battle with Pennsbury but came away victorious with 39 points to 56 points.  Unionville had a very impressive 18:06 average while Pennsbury recorded an 18:24 average.  Courtney Smith and Olivia Young went 1-2 for Unionville with times of 17:18 and 17:47.  Olivia Sargent led Pennsbury in 3rd with a time of 17:57.

 

District 7 Championships, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • North Allegheny rolled to its 9th straight title with 38 points and a 25 second 1-5 spread and 33 second 1-7 spread! 

 

3A Metro League Championships, WA

Highlights

  • Saucony Elite 50 #2 Joe Hardy (Seattle Prep) rolled in this one with a winning time of 14:56.87.  Also rolling were the boys of Nathan Hale, ranked #19, who won the team crown with 34 points off of a strong 2-3-4 finish individually.  

 

TSSAA REgion 6 AAA, TN

Highlights

  • Saucony Elite 50 #6 Brentwood (TN) rolled with 16 points and a 15:52.69 team average for the course record.  The squad went 1-2-3-4-6-7-10 with Alec Thomas winning in 15:27.33, Taylor Caldwell 2nd in 15:28.46 and Aaron Thomas 3rd in 15:29.07.

 

NCHSAA Regional Championships, NC

Coverage

Highlights

  • 4A West Regional
    • Wyatt Maxey (Providence) took down Patrick Sheehan (Lake Norman) by a clocking of 15:39 to 15:43.  Lake Norman did take it over Providence in the team race 81 to 95.  
  • 4A Midwest Regional
    • Ian Milder (Mount Tabor) won the individual title in a close one over Ryan Brady (East Chapel Hill) 15:29.12 to 15:30.68.  
    • Kayla Montgomery (Mount Tabor) won as well with a big 17:33.87 clocking.  
  • 3A West Regional
    • ​Tanis Baldwin (East Henderson) won the boys race by nearly a minute with a time of 15:14.34.  
    • Anna Vess (A.C. Reynolds) won the girls race with a time of 18:14.37.

Narrows League Championships, WA

Highlights

  • Saucony Elite 50 #5 Gig Harbor dominated in the 4A boys race, winning as a team with 5 in the top-9 and a sweep of the first 4 places.  Wolfgang Beck won in 15:06.75 with Logan Carroll 2nd in 15:10.58.  Tristan Peloquin was 3rd in 15:15.17 and Mahmoud Moussa was 4th in 15:31.42.  

 

St. Helens League Championship, WA

Highlights

  • Saucony Elite 50 #1 Alexa Efraimson (Camas) won her league title with a time of 17:52, over a minute up on 2nd place.  

 

GSL #5 Meet, WA

Highlights

  • John Dressel (Mt. Spokane) rocked a 14:47 to win the boys varsity race but was pushed to that time.  North Central's Tanner Anderson rolled in 2nd with a time of 14:50.

 

Connecticut Divisional Championships, CT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Class LL Girls - Hannah DeBalsi (Staples) got the win with a time of 17:41 over Claire Howlett (Westhill) who was 2nd with a time of 18:03.

 

Hawaii State XC Championships, HI

Davis and Kaeo went 1-2 for the team title.

Dakota dominated the girls title race.

Coverage

Highlights

  • In the boys Championship race Davis Kaahanui (Kamehameha Oahu) won with a time of 15:47.51 over teammate Kaeo Kruse in 15:51.17 as the team won the crown as well with a score of 59 points.
  • In the girls Championship race Dakota Grossman (Sbh) won big with a time of 18:17.04.  Punahou won the team crown with 62 points.  

 

Montana State XC Championships, MT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Makena Morley (Bigfork) really lit it up in the girls AA race, winning with a blazing 3 mile time of 16:35.31, over 2.5 minutes ahead of 2nd place and almost 2 minutes better than her time her last year!
  • In the boys AA race Jason Holmes (Bozeman) won overall with a time of 15:13.35 with Aidan Reed (Helena) 2nd in 15:21.84.  Hunter May (Bozeman) was a close 3rd in 15:22.59.  Bozeman won the team title with 30 points as Glacier was 2nd with 99 and Helena 3rd with 114.  

 

Nebraska State XC Championships, NE

Coverage

Highlights

  • In boys A action Wyatt McGuire (North Platte) won individually with a time of 15:26.6.  Seth Hirsch (Millard West) was 2nd in 15:45.8.  Millard South won the team crown with 50 points.  
  • Jeralyn Poe (Lincoln North Star) won the girls A race with a quick 18:14.9.  Lincoln Southwest took the team title with 60 points.

 

New Hampshire Divisional Championships, NH

Coverage

Highlights

  • Jeremy Brassard (Coe-Brown) was fastest on the day with a win in Division 2 with a time of 15:51.
  • Emma Newton (Hollis Brookline) was fastest on the girls side out of Division 2 with a time of 18:29.

 

North Dakota State XC Championships, ND

Coverage

Highlights

  • Bismarck boys rolled to the win in the Class A race with just 29 points to out pace Fargo Davies with 88 points.  Matt Gotta and Sam Clausnitzer went 1-2 for the Demons with times of 15:50.5 and 16:00.8.  
  • Bismarck girls also won in Class A with 55 points over Bismarck Century with 61 points.  Jordan Jacob led Century with the individual win with a 14:02.2 clocking over the 4k course.  

 

Oklahoma 2A-3A XC Championships, OK

Coverage

Highlights

  • Colton Green (Henryetta) won the 3A boys race with a time of 16:15.  Blaine Whitson (Oklahoma Bible Academy) was 2nd in 16:27.  
  • Daisy Vanmeter (Henryetta) was the girls 3A champ with a 3200m time of 11:47.

 

South Dakota State XC Championships, SD

Coverage

Highlights

  • Addison DeHaven (Brookings) dominated in winning the Class AA boys race with a quick 15:34.3 clocking.  Second place was Will Lauer (Sioux Falls Lincoln) with a time of 16:00.1.  Sioux Falls Lincoln won the team title easily with just 32 points.  
  • Annie Kruse (Yankton) won the girls Class AA race over 4k with a time of 14:03.31.  Tamara Gorman (Rapid City Stevens) was 2nd with a time of 14:24.81.  Rapid City Stevens won the team title with 58 points.

 

Vermont State XC Championships, VT

Coverage

Highlights

  • In girls Division 1 action Autumn Eastman (Champlain Valley) won big with a time of 18:47.40.  Champlain Valley took the team title as well with a score of 42 points.  
  • In boys Division 1 action Sidi Abdoulaye (South Burlington) won with a time of 16:33.80.  South Burlington dominated the team competition, winning with a mere 22 points.  

 

Wyoming State XC Championships, WY

Highlights

  • Jonah Henry (Laramie) led the charge with a swift win in 15:22.32 as Laramie won the 4A team crown with 50 points over Rock Springs with 73.  Ricky Faure (Rock Springs) finished 2nd with a time of 15:35.19.  
  • In girls 3A action Anna Gibson (Jackson Hole) won with a quick 18:43.49 clocking for the fastest on the day.
