We catch up with Jalyn Jackson, a senior at Chula Vista Eastlake HS in the San Diego Section, after he won the long jump (24-5.5) and triple jump (48-8) at the CA Winter Championships on Feb. 17 at Arcadia HS, setting meet records and personal records in both events. Jackson, who is committed to Cal, is the No. 2 returner from the CIF-State meet in both events. 

Weight Throw - Silas Hurst Feb 17, 2018

When it comes to the Weight Throw at the CA Winter Championships, nobody does it better than Corona Santiago senior Silas Hurst, who won the event for the third year in a row, setting a record in the process with a best throw of the 25-pound implement of 70 feet, 10 inches.

Laurel Wong clears 13-3 and has multiple attempts at 13-6.25 in winning the girls pole vault at the CA Winter Championships on Feb. 17 at Arcadia HS. Wong, a junior at Monterey Santa Catalina HS, set a 1-inch PR with her winning clearance.
