Beverly Hills Intersquad 2013

Beverlys team had its intersquad meet to get ready for the upcoming track season. On the same day Beverly Hills High School put on an official 5000 meter race on the track officiated and timed by Stan King a USATF official. This was in essence the first BHHS 5000m Invite, which hopefully will expand each year and will grow to be recognized as a premier 5000 meter outdoor race not often done on the high school level. In the girls race, first place went to Sydney Segal in a time of 17:18.00, a new school record and it appears to be at this time the number 1 time in the nation for 2013. Eli Flesch on the boys side took 1st place in a time of 15:48.00 (#3 all time at Beverly). Chanan Batra took 2nd in 16:05, followed by Aaron Wolfe in 3rd in 16:19. Three other notable times on the boys side were David Neiman in 4th in 17:10, Michael Redston in 5th in 17:15, and Aaron Karlin in 6th in 17:39. On the girls side Da Eun Lee took 2nd in 20:11 and sophomore Megan Moreh took 3rd in 21:13.
