The database report breaks down the top dual throwers in CA and provides a comparison of top returning marks with those so far in 2018.

The first slide for each gender is the season-best mark so far in 2018. The second slide is the top returning throwers based off 2017 performances. Comparing the 2018 slide with the 2017 slide for each gender offers a look at year-over-year (YOY) growth for each athlete.

Note that the reports are provided with the top marks listed at the bottom. Reports were generated using discus throw first and are listed bottom-to-top with discus throw as the ranking mark. Athletes without marks in both throws were eliminated from the rankings. Each ranking slide was requested at 100 deep and then trimmed to those only with marks in both throws.

BOYS 2018 DUAL THROWER RANKINGS

Compare the boys slides to see early 2018 progress made, as examples, from Clovis Buchanan junior Christian Johnson (30-3 improvement YOY in the DT), Great Oak senior Jaime Navarro (PR improvement YOY in both throws), and take note how Bakersfield Liberty junior Daniel Viveros in early 2018 is already right about where he peaked last spring.

Also note that Ventura junior Carlos Aviles , who has the top returning mark in the discus, does not yet have reported marks in 2018 and is not listed among those ranked.
