Robert Miranda, a senior at the Menlo School in the Central Coast Section, has the top-ranked 5K time among boys in CIF Division 4.

Miranda's time, posted in winning the Sept. 23 Pacific Tiger Invitational in Stockton, is a course record for the Elkhorn Golf Course layout. Among our rankings, Miranda's time is 6.70 seconds faster than that of No. 2 Collin Ullrich of Liberty Ranch in the Sac-Joaquin Section.

Miranda, ninth at the State final (15:40.20) as a sophomore, missed last cross country season with a stress fracture.

Ullrich, 14th at the State final last season (15:59.70), posted his top 5K time this season in placing fourth at the Clovis Invitational on Oct. 7.

Sophomore Anthony Grover, who ranks third on this list, was fifth at the State final as a freshman last season (15:40.10), the top-placing non-senior in this division.
