Best times in a 5K and 3 Mile race?

5k - 15:12, CA State Meet.  I haven’t raced 3 miles.

Tell us how your training is going?

My summer training is going great.  I am making sure my mileage is more consistent than it has been in the past.  I am still building up base mileage and probably won’t begin workouts until the season begins.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

At state I want to win as an individual and as a team and at Nationals finish in the top five

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I have been running since I was 8.  I started with the San Diego Southern California Road Runners and competed in the USATF Junior Olympics for track and cross-country.

Will you be competing out of state this season?

I would like to for NXN, but I’m not sure which national meet I want to go to yet.

Favorite course to run in California?

Woodward Park home of our State Meet - it’s the fastest course I run on all season.

Toughest course in California?

Mt. SAC is definitely the toughest.  It’s really hilly, but I like the course.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

Foot Locker Nationals -   even though I didn’t run that well the whole experience was really motivating. Meeting runners from all over the country inspired me to want to be better.

Favorite Cross Country memory?

Qualifying for the CA State Meet as a team is one of my favorite high school running memories so far.  It was the first time our team made it to state and I can’t wait to go back with them.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

I love going to the beach, surf, and eat food.
