Jumpers Lead Bison Men at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. ? The North Dakota State men's track and field team posted four top eight finishes at the 53rd Annual Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, April 15.  Five members of the team also cracked the school's all-time top 10.

 

In section B of the pole vault, junior Joe Bredahl placed sixth after clearing 16 feet 0  Â¾ inches.  His mark ranks ninth all-time at NDSU.

 

Junior Jeramy Geditz cleared 6-10 ¾ in the high jump to finish sixth.  His mark is tied for sixth all-time at NDSU.

 

Sophomore Matt Tetzlaff placed 13th in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 53.07 seconds, which is ninth on the school's  performance charts.  He also finished fifth in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.41.

 

In the 800 meters, sophomore Moses Heppner and redshirt freshman Alec Espeland came in 15th and 16th, respectively.  Heppner's personal best time of 1:50.53 is seventh all-time, while Espeland's time of 1:50.59 is eighth all-time.

 

The 4x400 relay team took fifth with a time of 3:12.59 and the 4x100 relay was 11th in 41.78.

 

The Bison continue action in California Saturday at the Beach Invitational in Norwalk.
