Saturday: The boys DMR rocked as the top-3 times in the nation were clocked here.  Vista Murrieta CA won with a US#1 10:11.26, Dana Hills CA was 2nd with a US#2 10:11.26, and Loyola CA was 3rd with a US#3 10:12.60.  Ashton Purvis, CA looked strong as she finished the 200 meter dash in a US#1 time of 23.67. the race of the night was the boys 3200 meter run as 16 runners broke the 9 minute mark.  The lead passed back and fourth between several runners until Jake Hurysz, NC took the lead in the final lap finishing in 8:49.76 for a US#1 and NC All-Time #1.  Brian Shrader, AZ came in 2nd in 8:53.09 (US#2) and Brandon Lord, TN finished 3rd in 8:55.42 (US#3). The girls Invite 400 was blazing!  Chizoba Okodogbe, NC, ripped a new US#1 53.31 with Briana Nelson, CA, on her heels with a US#2 53.32.  Chimere Ezumah, CA, was 3rd in a US#5 54.08.  Redondo CA won the girls Invite DMR with a US#1 time of 11:54.75.  LB Poly CA won the girls Invite 4x400 with a time of 3:47.02 with JSerra CA a close second in 3:48.81.  JSerra CA boys won the Invite 4x400 with a time of 3:14.63.  Johnny Carter, CA, won the boys Invite triple jump with a mark of 49-10.  Jenna Prandini, CA, won the girls Invite long jump with a US#1 leap of 20-02.  Niko Di Martino, CA, won the boys long jump with a 23-09.25.  Catrina McCalister, CA, won the girls Invite 3200 with a time of 10:27.86.  Dwayne Golbek, OK, won the boys Invite HJ with a leap of 6-11.  Tara Richmond, CA, won the girls Invite HJ with a 5-08.  Melia Cox, CA, won the girls Invite triple jump with a mark of 41-02.50.  Michael Quercia, NY, won the boys Invite 800 meter dash with a US#3 time of 1:51.81.  Ashton Purvis, CA, won the girls Invite 100 meter dash with a time of 11.68.  George Atkinson won the Invite 100 meter dash with a time of 10.61.  Kori Carter, CA, won the girls Invite 100 hurdles with a US#1 and meet record time of 13.55.  Trinity Wilson, CA, was an incredibly close 2nd with a time of 13.55.  Carter went on to double, winning the 300 hurdles in 42.52 and a US#3.  Johnathan Cabral, CA, also doubled in the hurdles winning the 110 hurdle Invite race with a time of 13.94 and the 300 meter hurdles in a US#3 36.83.  Maddie Meyers, WA, won the girls Invitational Mile run with a US#2 time of 4:50.72.  Jantzen Oshier, Trabuco Hills CA, won the boys Invite mile with a time of 4:12.80.  Rio Mesa CA won the boys Invitational 4x100 with a US#1 time of 40.69.  Rancho Verde CA won the girls Invite 4x100 with a US#1 time of 45.68.  LB Poly CA, was 2nd with a US#2 45.92.  Sam Crouser, Gresham OR, won the boys Invitational discus with a US#1 toss of 205-10 and the boys shot put with a US#3 toss of 66-04.  Chioma Amaechi, Lincoln CA, won the girls Invite shot put with a US#5 throw of 47-9.25.  Earlier today Josh Mance, Don Lugo CA, won the boys 400 with a blazing US#1 time of 46.79, and followed it up with a big win in the Seeded section of the 400 with a 47.11.  De'Anthony Thomas, LA, won the Invite 200 meter dash with a time of 21.48.  Diondre Batson, CA, ran a swift prelim 200 meter dash of 21.28. Javonte Slater, CA won the finals event later in the evening finishing in 21.55 with Jared Pickering, CA in 2nd with 21.66.  

 

Friday: Gunnar Nixon, (Photo, right, by Margot Kelly) Santa Fe OK, won the boys decathalon with a US#2 All-Time score of 7573 points!  Long Beach Poly CA (Photo, left, by Margot Kelly) won the girls 4x800 with the fastest ever time at Arcadia with a US#1 time of 9:07.55.  Poly also won the girls 4x200 with a US#2 time of 1:36.56.  West Ranch CA was 2nd with a US#2 time of 9:09.25 and Oak Ridge CA was 3rd with a US#4 time of 9:09.99.  St. Joseph won the boys 4x800 with a US#4 7:49.15.  San Ramon was 2nd in 7:52.60 and Great Oak was 3rd in 7:54.21.  JSerra CA boys won the 4x200 meter relay with a meet record and US#3 time of 1:25.84.  Laguna Creek won the boys 800 SMR with a time of 1:33.61 and St. Mary's Academy won the girls with a time of 1:43.86.  Rancho Verde CA won the boys 1600 SMR with a time of 3:29.80.  JSerra CA won the girls 1600 SMR with a time of 4:01.85.  King CA won the boys SHR with a time of 1:01.42 and Ayala girls won with a time of 1:04.29.  The lead went back and fourth between Xavier College Prep AZ and Mira Costa CA in the gils 4 x mile relay with Xavier crossing the line first in a US#1 20:31.00.  Mira Costa finished 2nd with a US#2 20:33.13.  Dana Hill boys took an early lead in the 4 x mile relay finishing in 17:27.63.  San Ramon Valley finished 2nd in 17:39.01.

 

 

Pan-Ram Invitational:  Brady Gehret, Altoona PA, won the 400 meter dash with a swift US#2 time of 47.43.  He also won the 200 dash with a time of 21.81.

 

 

Mooberry Relays:  North Central WA rolled to a 10:15.0 DMR victory behind a solid 4:14.7 anchor leg by Ben Johnston.  Johnston then won the Lindgren mile in 4:19.1, going 2:18 through 810 meters and closing in 2:01 with a 59-second 3rd lap.  Full meet story here.

 

 

Davis Invitational:  Christin Kirkwood, Othello WA, won the girls javelin with a US#2 throw of 151-00.  Audrey Ketcham, Wenatchee WA, won the high jump with a leap of 5-8.

 

 

Chiles Capital City T&F Championships:  Photos | Broderick Snoddy, Carrollton FL, won the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.33.  Kayla Parker, Port St. Joe FL, won the long jump with a mark of 19-06 and the 200 with a time of 24.53.  McEachern FL, won the girls 4x400 with a time of 3:54.49.  

 


KIF Quality 4 Meet:  Moses Fierro, Moanalua HI, had a nice double, winning the 100 dash in 10.74 and the 200 dash in 21.74.
