Solid Debut For Principe At Stanford Invitational


Considering it's been 10 months since the last time he raced, DJ Principe had a solid collegiate debut at the Stanford Invitational on Friday night. The former La Salle Academy star and current Stanford freshman placed seventh overall in the opening heat of the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3 minutes, 51.60 seconds.Unofficially, Principe passed through 800m in 2:03.

The meet also featured another former RI star. Ex-Classical standout Maddy Berkson, a senior at Stanford, was 16th overall in her heat of the 5,000m with a time of 17:17.35.
