Division 2 Preview
Bravo Medical Magnet won big on the boys' side of this division last year, and it looks like a repeat could be in the cards in 2017. Defending individual winner Daniel Morales returns to lead his team on the back-to-back title attempt, one of several seniors in their projected top 7 this fall. That includes Anthony Ho, who might end up providing the strongest individual challenge to his teammate. The database pegs Santee as the closest team challenger, and their top runner Eric Gutierrez could also be an individual contender.
The girls' team competition in this division was ultra-competitive last year, with Santee holding off Bravo by a mere single point for the title. Both teams graduated two seniors from their 2016 squad, but Santee's losses were a little more prominent, and that gives Bravo the slight edge coming into the season. Santee does have the advantage of having the top girl in the division, Patricia Sanchez, who should dominate individually.
