Girls #CountdownToXC Day 21: Campolindo

Did I mention that the North Coast is loaded with strong girls' teams? Luckily for Campolindo, the majority of the section's powers are in Division 2, where they will have to battle tooth and nail to get to the state meet. The Cougars are the defending NCS D3 champs and finished 6th at the state meet, and they accomplished those feats with a top 5 composed entirely of juniors (plus a promising freshman in the #6 slot). This team has a knack for making noteworthy improvement from year to year, as exemplified by their solid team track times. Also worth noting: Jenna Miles posted a 10:49 3200 in the spring, which clearly shows that she has closed the gap on returning front-runners Hannah Ruane and Isabella Chao. If everything comes together for the 2017 Cougars, they could certainly find themselves in contention for a podium finish at Woodward Park this November!
