Boys #CountdownToXC Day 26: St. John Bosco

St. John Bosco was primarily defined by its two front-runners in 2016, with Colby Corcoran and Ezra Sotelo both finishing in the top 10 at the Southern Section Finals. Corcoran elevated his game to finish 5th at the state meet, but the team sputtered a bit and wound up 11th overall. The good news for the Braves: they had a whopping SIX JUNIORS competing in Clovis last November, and their times from that meet rank them 11th among returning boys teams from all divisions (and 2nd among returning D3 squads). That also makes this a "win now" year for this team, and you can bet that mentality has factored into their summer training. It showed up with some solid track times, too: St. John Bosco had the 13th-best team 1600 times in the state, with those same two front-runners posting strong 4:15 and 4:17 marks. The big questions: can the Braves' 3-6 pack close on their leaders, and can the team cultivate depth (there's a big drop from 6 to 7 in returning times)? If the answer to both is yes, this team could be a D3 contender.
