XC Off-Season Report: Returning Girls Team Rankings Using Track Times

Great cross country teams are built through year-round training. That's why it's no surprise that most strong fall programs also show depth and strength on the track. One way to get a sense of which teams have progressed the most since November is to check their team results from this past spring, using the three distance races. Of course, the 3200 and 1600 correlate best to success in cross country, but we can even learn from the 800 rankings - and also see which teams might have the best returning 4x800's for the 2018 track season!

We used "xc style" team scoring to rank every team in California that had at least 5 athletes compete in each race this spring. Check out the top 3 teams on the following slides, and subscribers can click through for the full reports!
