Westlake Oaks Christian (Ca.) High senior Lauren Rain Williams, the returning California Interscholastic Federation champion in the 100m and 200m, is expected to miss at least the next two weeks with a leg injury.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Williams felt a pop in her leg during the first race of the season last Thursday.

Due to the injury, Williams will not be competing at this weekend's Arcadia Invitational or Mt. SAC Relays the following weekend. Mt. SAC is one of California's biggest meets, running from April 14-15.

The University of Southern California signee was CIF champion in the 100m and 200m and finished second in the 200m at the 9th IAAF World Youth Championships in 2015.

"The long-term prognosis is still being determined," Williams' coach Wes Smith told the Daily News

When contacted by phone, Smith could not be reached for comment
