The North Coast Section is one of the largest sections in California. Some of the best runners in the state have hailed from this section and with only 3 athletes now qualifying to Buchanan HS, the competition to make state is very competitive. You can also make the state meet by surpassing the 2017 At-Large Time Standards. Some of the leading contenders are based on their performances during the 2016 outdoor Track and Field season while some others make the list based on their improved performance during the just completed Cross Country season.
