San Luis Obispo senior cross country runner Callum Bolger was one of the top California junior runners so it was no surprise at his continued success during this past cross country season. Bolger had the fastest time overall at the Southern Section Finals with a speedy 14:26.51 on the Riverside cross country course. He won the California state Division IV race unchallenged with a time of 14:57.35. Bolger went on the qualify for the Footlocker national final with a 6th place at the West Region race. He finished in 10th place one week later on the Balboa Park course which secured all-American status for the future Stanford University Cardinal.
With his splendid cross country season, Gatorade announced Callum Bolger as the California Runner of the Year. He will be up for the national runner of the year which will be announced shortly.
