This week we're working on detailed previews for each of the sections, breaking them down into the top athletes and teams in every division. It's all part of the build-up to the first big weekend of cross country races, when we'll finally have some current results to use to judge the 2015 teams!
The Central Section has some of the state's proudest programs, including the legendary McFarland that has gained so much attention nationwide this year (although folks in the Golden State knew them well long before the movie came out). This is also the section that seems to depart the most from the idea that divisions are determined by enrollment, as Central Section leadership has moved several schools around in the name of "competitive balance." It makes for some interesting match-ups within a very competitive overall section, so check our the teams and individuals to watch in each division!
