After that 4x400m, Norman and the Vista Murrieta boys were officially crowned the California State Team Champions. What is even more impressive is that they got 0 points in the 4x100m. Vista Murrieta was winning the 4x100m going into the final exchange, but the third and fourth leg dropped the baton and did not finish. Norman ran the first leg of the relay.

In his next event, Norman bounced back and scored 10 points for his squad in the 400m. In the 400m, Norman says, it was his quick start that helped him run the 45.19. He said his coach split him in around 21.7 through 200m, which is his fastest split through 200m. In the 200m, as you can tell in the video, Norman is clearly ahead of the rest of the field only 50m in. Let us remind you, this is not some measly league meet. Norman dusted the best sprinters in California. Truly, a man amongst boys.
