West Coast Relays Recap: Herrera Gives State Meet Preview

The West Coast Relays at Buchanan High School in Clovis produced over 100 elite marks and showed why it is one of the best mid-season meets in the state.

400 man Joe Herrera of Tulare Western blasted through a windy back stretch to post the #5 time in the US, running 47.67 on the track that is the venue for his section and state championships.

The decision to move from baseball to track is paying off for Mater Dei's Curtis Godin.  His windy marks 10.55 and 21.11 gave him victories in the 100 and 200.  Godin's current US rankings are #10 in the 100 and #6 in the 200.
